Chris Kattan Thinks His Relationship With Will Ferrell Is Beyond The Point Of Fixing
Although the two were good friends years ago, Chris Kattan thinks his relationship with Will Ferrell is beyond the point of fixing. Some celebrities become friends before or early in their careers, and it seems as though their bond will last. However, certain things can disrupt a friendship. Luckily many celebrities are able to work things out.
However, some celebrities have feuds that seem like they'll never be resolved. When Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell would team up, fans couldn't help but laugh as the comedic duo brought viewers some unforgettable moments.
They seemed close, and it appeared they would continue working on projects together. However, their friendship suddenly ended, and it doesn't seem like fans will see the two together again. Chris Kattan thinks his friendship with Will Ferrell is beyond the point of fixing.
What Caused A Rift Between Chris Kattan And Will Ferrell?

Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell were good friends who'd worked on hilarious sketches together on Saturday Night Live. One of their sketches, The Roxbury Guys, was made into a feature-length film, 1998's A Night at the Roxbury.
The two had viewers laughing with their comedic antics on SNL and then in theaters. Suddenly, the two weren't coming out with anything new. The duo didn't seem to have anything planned even though they had been incredibly popular as a team.
Celebrities have gotten into feuds for multiple reasons. It seems something caused a rift which drove them apart. According to Page Six, Kattan discussed what ruined their friendship in his 2019 memoirBaby, Don't Hurt Me: Stories and Scars from Saturday Night Live.
In his memoir, Kattan claims SNL creator Lorne Michaels "pressured him into a physical relationship with Amy Heckerling so she would stay attached to the 1990s comedy film."
"This did not happen", according to a spokesperson for SNL who denied what Kattan claimed about Lorne Michaels in his memoir. Heckerling was supposed to direct the film, but was instead a producer. Heckerling has also denied Kattan's claims, saying "He's a nut."
It seems Kattan's alleged secret relationship with Heckerling was what destroyed the Corky Romano actor's relationship with Ferrell.
Kattan stated, "I had tried to hide my relationship with Amy (Heckerling), not realizing how obvious it had been to everyone else, including Will (not to mention that Lorne had told him about it in the first place)."
When they had finished the film, Kattan called Ferrell, who wouldn't answer, nor call back. Apparently the two didn't speak again until they returned for the 23rd season of SNL.
When they returned, the friends who had seemed so close supposedly had a hard talk.
Chris Kattan Has Said Will Ferrell Ended Their Friendship

Those who loved seeing Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan team up on Saturday Night Live and Night At the Roxbury might be wondering if the two actors will ever work together on another project again.
After Ferrell and Kattan returned to Saturday Night Live for season 23, Kattan claims Ferrell brought an end to the friendship. According to Best Life, in his memoir Baby, Don't Hurt Me, he discussed what he claims happened between them.
Kattan wrote, "I stepped into the hair/makeup trailer as Will was having his wig fitted, and it seemed like the temperature between the two of us had changed."
Apparently Ferrell had a talk with Kattan. Kattan wrote in his memoir that the Stranger than Fiction actor told his (now former) friend, "So, I got all your messages, but I didn't call you back because I didn't want to talk to you. I'm done...I don't want to be your friend anymore."
It seemed as though Ferrell didn't (and still doesn't) plan to work with Kattan in the future. According to Kattan, Ferrell added, "I'm going to be professional and still work with you on the show, but that's it."
So far the two have shown no signs of their friendship resuming. In his memoir the actor wrote, "I felt that we still loved each other. But some damage can't be undone."
According to Page Six, Kattan wrote that he realized how much his actions had hurt his friend, and as a result, their friendship as a whole.
"I didn't know or hadn't let myself see until that moment that although the situation with Amy (Heckerling) hadn't directly involved Will, my actions and dishonesty made him feel deceived and betrayed."
"And now everything Will and I had done and shared - everything that had made us feel like a team that incredible amount of trust that had been built up - was broken."
Could Chris Kattan And Will Ferrell Reconcile?

On the air for over 45 years and known for helping numerous talented people get their start, it's no surprise that there have been several fights among the talented cast members of Saturday Night Live.
Although Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell's friendship ended years ago, there's always a chance the two could reconcile, even though Kattan thinks their relationship is beyond the point of fixing.
According to Movieweb, Kattan discussed his interest in making a sequel to A Night at the Roxbury with TMZ. "I haven't (talked to Will Ferrell about it), but so many people do talk to me and ask me about it. 'Is there going to be a Night at the Roxbury 2?' I think it would be fun".
However, unless the Step Brothers actor agrees to it, it's unlikely to happen. And that doesn't seem like it will happen soon. According to Nicki Swift, Ferrell told Moviehole, "No sequel. I've kind of done that."
Kattan sent an encouraging message about a sequel through TMZ to his former friend. "Hi Will! Will, let's do it! Come on! It'll be a blast. I think (people will love it). An excuse to have a good time. He's so fun to work with. He's like, the best."
